Joe Wasser founded JWC in 2007. Together with Meir Fried, he transformed the company from a small real estate management firm into a respected name in NYC. They’ve successfully managed and/or acquired over $600 million in diverse multifamily real estate assets, including the historic turnaround of several severely distressed portfolios.

Their professionalism, integrity, and drive have earned Meir and Joe the respect of preeminent real estate insiders across the country and helped them forge powerful relationships. In their sister acquisition company, Lightwater Capital, Meir and Joe put their experience and relationships to work for the savvy real estate investor. In the first few years at Lightwater Capital, Joe and Meir have already successfully closed  $346,336,000 in assets.
Today, JWC manages and oversees real estate projects in its multistate portfolio – for Lightwater Capital as well as other investment companies.

Since joining the company in 2017 at the age of 18, Austin has steadily advanced through a variety of roles, gaining firsthand experience in operations, leasing, client relations, and asset management. While building a strong foundation in the business, Austin pursued a degree from Touro College. As COO, Austin is responsible for overseeing company-wide operations, streamlining processes, and driving initiatives that enhance tenant satisfaction and property performance. With a focus on innovation, efficiency, and team development, he plays a critical role in ensuring JWC remains a trusted partner in the real estate industry.
